Dr. Atiya’s Pearls organizes a dedicated Summer School Program designed to support academically weak or struggling students from two government schools as well as from her own institutions—the Muhammad Murad Campus, Abdullah Campus, and MIU. The program is staffed by the students’ own teachers, who already understand their needs and challenges. By dedicating half of their summer, these teachers provide targeted academic support, helping bridge learning gaps and strengthening students’ confidence before the new academic year begins.
Beyond academics, the program also serves as a safe and structured environment during a period when children might otherwise be unsupervised. It protects them from the risks associated with idle time—such as roaming the streets, exposure to negative peer influences, drugs, petty gangs, vandalism, or harming animals. This secure setting brings great comfort to parents, many of whom eagerly request their children’s enrollment each year. Although we often plan for 60–70 students, the demand consistently exceeds expectations because families deeply value the safe, nurturing, and productive environment the program provides.
Students attend for three to four hours daily, participate in interactive activities, and explore new teaching methods that make learning enjoyable and meaningful. They are also provided with a fresh fruit snack each day, contributing to healthy habits and overall well-being.
Each summer, approximately 200 students benefit from this program, supported by a ratio of one staff member per 20 students. This ensures personalized attention and meaningful engagement, while also providing valuable employment opportunities for teachers and staff during the summer months.
