Located in Madina Colony, this government primary school serves some of the most underprivileged children in the area and was, for many years, one of the most neglected institutions within the local education system. Prior to our involvement, the school suffered from severe infrastructural and safety challenges—doors and fans had been stolen, classrooms lacked basic seating, and the absence of security made it unsafe for registered teachers to attend regularly.
Dr. Atiya’s Pearls intervened to restore safety, dignity, and functionality to the school. A security guard was appointed, access to clean drinking water was ensured, and the premises were refurbished and rebuilt to create a secure learning environment. We constructed hygienic washrooms, provided desks, uniforms, and essential furniture, and arranged private teachers to ensure uninterrupted learning for students who continued to attend despite the challenges.
Today, the school has been transformed into a safe, protected, and welcoming space. The surrounding community now actively looks out for the school, theft has been eliminated, and students attend regularly with enthusiasm. Daily meals and improved facilities have significantly enhanced student well-being and morale. This transformation stands as a testament to what focused intervention can achieve in a school that had long been overlooked by government funding, giving young girls a strong foundation for education, health, and a brighter future.
